You will probably want to use some higher ports and then also ensure you can see both machines on the network by IP. Don't forget to allow the communication through the firewall too (bit.ly/9LaIZV on windows).Michael Corriganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07378290871147600240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4186074565961060437.post-15993720830256304202013-11-30T01:55:20.178-07:002013-11-30T01:55:20.178-07:00I can get this to work in the local loop -- sendin...I can get this to work in the local loop -- sending myself a message. But how oh how do i configure it to broadcast and somebody else's computer will pick it up. i've hacked about most of the night, typing in crazy ip addresses but still can't get the two to communicate. what's the magic ip mixture? what should the ports be set to? local ip i assume is ip4 like 10.10.10.12. i heard that both clients can't be set to the same port. ack. but thanks for the demo, it's gotten me pretty far.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12030679780661017433noreply@blogger.com
